Okinawa electric scooter manufacturing proceeds with 25 percent workforce
The company has taken all steps of safety and sanitization prior to commencement at its offices, manufacturing unit and dealership networks
Okinawa Autotech Pvt. Ltd., the 100% Indian electric two wheeler manufacturing company, has commenced manufacturing operations post the Government relaxation of some rules. These operations have been started at its plant in Bhiwadi and corporate office in Gurugram with 25 percent workforce
Following the coronavirus pandemic, the company, on 26th March 2020, had suspended all operation at all three manufacturing sites at Ahmedabad, Barwani and Una in the states of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, and Himachal Pradesh respectively. Following directives by both the Central and State Governments, the company has commenced operations while adhering strictly to guidelines.

As per orders, the production has commenced with 25 percent workforce and all workers are instructed to maintain social distancing at all times. Thermal scanning will be conducted and all workers will have to wear masks and gloves at all times. All touch points throughout the premises will be thoroughly sanitized twice a day and a sanitization tunnel has been installed at the plants.
To spread the awareness of COVID-19, the employees will attend sessions and there will be a special team on standby to transport any employees who feel unwell to the hospital and thereon to Government quarantine areas if tested positive for coronavirus.
Apart from the manufacturing units, the company dealerships in orange and green zones are also opened. Here too, they will also have to comply with directives of safety and sanitization. All products will be sanitized prior to dispatch from manufacturing units while they will again be sanitized on receipt at dealerships.

At corporate offices, Okinawa will ensure that social distancing is maintained and seating arrangements are made accordingly. All employees will have to download the Aarogya Setu App and wear protective gear at all times. Committees have been set up to ensure that these safety measure are strictly followed.
