Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25R

Image
Kawasaki Ninja ZX-25R Kawasaki has unveiled a new race edition model of the Kawasaki ZX-25R, built to compete in a Japanese one-make series in 2021, and sporting a host of performance parts, including lightweight carbon fibre components and bodywork. The frame and swingarm have carbon fibre covers lending the custom race edition a high quality finish and premium look. The race-spec model also loses street components like all lights, as well as number plate and mirrors. A gloss black paint across the bodywork, complemented by lightweight carbon fibre fairings will certainly make the quarter-litre sportbike light, agile and fast, and promise to be quite an entertaining package on a racetrack. The fuel tank, airbox, subframe, seat unit, fairings are all custom units, as well as the carbon covers on the frame and swingarm. Dunlop race-spec tyres adorn the wheels, and a free-flow custom exhaust completes the race-ready machine. Suspension is expected to be upgraded as well, alon

Husqvarna Motorcycles

Husqvarna made its official India entry a few weeks back and here’s something that we were thinking. Indians have never been receptive of new products like the current generation. This was evident when KTM was launched earlier this decade and now Husqvarna Motorcycles have been getting a good response if reports are anything to go by. Bajaj Auto, which owns 48% in KTM AG (of which Husqvarna is part of), now has to tread carefully so as to not allow any cannibalisation of sorts. As things stand, the Swedish firm is off to a good start in India for it shares vital components that 2-wheeler riders have experienced and know of. Sharing components used on KTM motorcycles with a package that appeals to a different set of buyers might do two things – bring in new customers or poach customers who originally intended to buy KTM or Bajaj products. Husqvarna’s pricing has been aggressive too with the range, which has two bikes – Svartpilen 250 and Vitpilen 250 – at present, starting

Electric Bikes vs. Regular Bikes

Electric Bikes vs. Regular Bik When we think about technologies that have changed the world, and how we function and exist in it, there are certain ones that come to mind. The automobile, the computer, and most recently, the smartphone.    There is, however, another technology that is quietly flourishing and spreading around us without getting nearly as much attention. One that has the world changing potential – the Electric Bicycle. In fact, the technology is so popular that in Asia, the world’s largest e-bike market, there are two hundred million of them in use. They account for over a quarter of all the bicycles in the country. In the United States, the numbers are smaller for now.  Yet, more and more people are becoming aware of them, and adoption rates are increasing. 20 years from now, as we reflect back on our search for the personal mobility solution, we are likely not going to remember the world before ebikes just as it is becoming harder to remember it before

Z900 Becomes Kawasaki’s Top-Selling Bike In India Kawasaki managed to sell 71 units of the Z900 in February 2020 with 82 percent year-on-year sales growth Kawasaki sold a total of 174 units in February 2020 as against 309 units during the same month last year with 43.7 percent year-on-year de-growth. The Japanese manufacturer finished only ahead of Mahindra and Triumph in the overall sales standings among the brands last month. With the Ninja 300 discontinued, it was left without any contender that would garner high volumes. Following the decision to move into locally assembling the model, Kawasaki saw a good spike in sales numbers of the Ninja 300 as it is already a popular faired supersport among the performance craving enthusiasts across the country. However, the more stringent BSVI emission standards are coming into effect from April 1, 2020. This has led to the brand discontinuing the BSIV model and the updated motorcycle has not gone on sale yet. Last month, the
